Mario and Luigi will help you care for your livestock, and Peach and Toad will help you grow crops. For example, Luigi is fishing at the beach, and he catches a huge fish, and one of the bachelors, Ralph, is impressed with Luigi's strong skill of fishing, and Luigi and Ralph talk about how he catches huge fish the easy way. Another example is Mario and Peach interacting with wild livestock, and they are seen giving the animals food, and the animals like it. Peach notices the alpaca loves fresh mints, and Mario notices the cow loves fresh chamomiles. Another good example is Toad interacting with the Navi-Sprites. Toad and the Navi-Sprites play games in the woods together, and Toad adds, "New cute friends! If they're charging me 60 bucks for a game, I will NOT pay another 20 for 18 things I do not want, when I should be able to buy the 3 things that I DO want for a couple bucks each. It's a scummy business practice, and I won't support it. It has nothing to do with me not being forced to use them, I'm just not gonna spend 80 dollars on a 60 dollar really is just a matter of perception. It's like paying $20 to go to a convention or a festival; you, personally, are there to see particular acts or artists, but that doesn't mean you're not also paying for the opportunity to see acts or artists you're not there to see, and don't want to see. And you might not want the "goodie bag" or free merch or whatever they're handing out at the door, but those things increase value also. It's about understanding that the things you don't necessarily personally want still add value to the overall product, because there is a market for it, even if that market doesn't include you. If The Beatles are playing a show and some random crappy band is their support act, I'm buying a ticket to see the Beatles, accepting that some of that money is also going towards the support act that I have no interest in seeing and will probably show up after they've finished playing. I'm not emailing the organisers asking if I can just not pay that part of my ticket price because I don't want to see the supporting this case, the expansions to extra places and including other people are the main content people want - that's the meat of the $20 expansion pass. The clothing? That's filler content added to increase value, with an understanding that some people actually do want that stuff. In this case, you have to ask yourself, would you have paid $20 for all the added characters and places and stuff you DO want, if the clothes were never on the table, and you didn't know your $20 was going towards that as well? If the answer is no, $20 is too much for just what you want, great, no worries, just don't get it, same as there would be a price point at which going to a convention or a gig would be too expensive for you or me, or anyone and wouldn't be good enough value, no matter how much someone wanted to see The Beatles play. But if you would pay $20 for the content you want, and you're just mad that price includes stuff you don't want - eh, look around, that's just how things work. I mean, maybe you're the kind of person who emails Netflix asking for a discount on your subscription because most of the stuff they offer is crap you'd never watch, or emails your gym asking for a discount because you've never personally used an elliptical, but my bet is if you looked around at your life and what you spend money on, you're spending money all the time for things you don't want and/or won't use.Don't get me wrong I hate extra paid features as a rule. It's becoming the norm to release games that aren't as good at release compared to the standard set before paid additional content became big, just so they can make you pay even more by putting in features that should have been there to begin with and calling them bonus content. I think it's capitalism on steroids and I hate it.

Its fun for what it is, but kind of a poor entry to the series because they took some steps back.
